After moot: Hok'ee's team (open)

Hok'ee wasn't particularly fond of recruiting this way, this was going to be a deeply personal journey that not everyone was cut out for. But time was not a luxury they could afford and he understood the reasons. He waits to see who will join him to hear more about this quest, he wasn't going to butter it up.

Erin came over to stand to the side. She was here to be support and aftercare.

Charlie approached, flashing teeth towards Hok'ee.

"Erin, it is good to see you." he nodded, these two were ones he was expecting to see
"Charlie, I was hoping you would assist. Preferably with less teeth bared." he says casually "Anything wrong?" or was she just reminding everyone she is strong and wild.

"Isn't this how people smile?" She asks, barking a laugh with less bared teeth and more of a genuine smile. "I'm fine."

The slender young korean approaches "um.. Hello. Erin suggested I speak to Hok'ee. Is this a mission just for garou kin? Or can bird offspring join? I don't want to offend spirits.


I have gnosis though!!"  He beams,  but one glance at Charlie and suddenly he's less jubilant. 

Erin takes a tiny step back as Jo comes up but smiles at him

"I see." he says to Charlie, hiding his amusement and motioning for all to sit on the wooden logs made into benches. "Yes corax kin, you are as welcome as any. Before, communing with the spirits was as simple as entering the umbra and having your theurge speak to them. We no longer have that luxury and must do so the old fashion way,
by a spirit quest. We walk the desert, for days if we have to. We feel the desert heat and thirst. We commune with peyote to our minds to the world on top of this world. We draw forth the spirits to come and part their knowledge on us.

Do you all follow? Do you know what skills you have?" he turns to Charlie "Being unused to human society may be in your favor in this case. Primal is the language of most spirits."

Charlie shoots a look to Jo for a brief moment. "You'll be fine." She rumbles just a little. "I'll keep you safe." She then looks to Hok'ee and nods. "I'll make sure everyone knows their manners when it comes to the spirits."

"Now for the questions: You should think of your own personal questions you want the to ask the spirits as well.

Ask them to be a window into the umbra, ask if they can see the war or know anything about it.

Ask what this land needs and if there are any problems.

Ask about the rain and the water that we will need.

Ask what we can do for them. That will be a good way to steer the conversation, it won't be as straight as you may like."

He turns to Erin and Charlie

"Do we have enough peyote?"

"I believe so yes" she says showing him what she has gathered for this purpose, sure that charlie also had a bunch.

"If there are no questions, we can start whenever someone is ready. Someone else should go first, I should guide them. Step one is to take peyote."

His eyes scan each one as he tries to predict who will be brave enough to step forward.

Charlie nods and reaches into a small leather pouch. She produces a small bag full of what seems to be dried peyote buttons. "I always have some on me." She says with a smirk.

"Wait.. we are doing it now? Um..." he sees Hok'ee scan and no one step forward "Sure, I can." he tentatively holds out his hand for the peyote.

"So, I take this and try to welcome spirits? And I try to think of those questions? And didn't you say something about getting thirsty and tired? Do I need the sweat lodge? Or like, walking the desert?"

Kit was late reaching where Erin had gone to. Not that she lost track of the Dr, just there were so many people here that she had to wend her way around to get to Erin. Walking up at about the time the wild woman pulled at her pouch. "Excuse me..." She looks between those that are present. "Are you Hok'ee? I believe Erin said I should meet you."

Hok'ee turns to examine Kit

"We could use help, and I have heard you are anchored to a spirit. Just now that this is a taxing mission, it is likely to be uncomfortable in parts on the brink of dangerous. Though I think our medics will make sure it only stays on the brink."

Jo wrote:"Wait.. we are doing it now? Um..." he sees Hok'ee scan and no one step forward "Sure, I can." he tentatively holds out his hand for the peyote.

Hok'ee takes a small dose of caps from Erin and holds them out to SiWong.

"All of those will help. If you think you need to go somewhere else, that is called 'chasing',
chase that feeling. I can guide you to the spirits, the spirits and your instincts guide the rest of the way."

He is ready for SiWong to begin, giving a short smile to his enthusiasm and willingness to move forward.

"Are you sure no one else wants to go with him? Sometimes it is easier to chase with someone."

"Hi Kit, I'm Si Won. Wanna take drugs and look for spirits together?" he gives her a bright smile before popping the peyote in his mouth, looking around to see if anything is different yet.

"You are supposed to learn stuff about yourself along the way."

Hok'ee smiles
"Any minuet now you will start to feel dizzy. Minuets later, your mind will start to wander."

he motions for everyone to follow

"Lets help the mind wander by allowing our bodies to do the same."

As Erin wasn't stopping the boy from taking the offered substance, what harm could there be in it. "I wish to help where ever I can. It is the least I can do for saving me." And if anything went wrong she wouldn't have to wait as long as she did to get help.

Taking to offered peyote, she'd join the journey. Not much to lose when you only have a life and a name.

Charlie takes her own peyote, smirking just a little at the small group.

Erin did not partake, choosing to watch over everyone instead. She would do her thing afterwards it seemed.

Hok'ee thought he was going to just guide, but then he quirks his head and decides the best way to guide would be from the front, in the thick of things and pops a serving in himself

He motions out to the desert



"Come, let us walk the sept bounds first." they begin their walk towards the seemingly endless desert shrubs

"I know some of us, Kit and SiWon are new to this land and have not spent time getting to know it. Some of you know it as well as any. One of the most common animals is the snakes and lizards, let us try to find a snake now." he starts looking at the ground, the drugs only making him slightly dizzy.
